Tell us a bit about yourself--a brief bio
I am the mother of seven children and the wife of the most amazing husband and father. The Lord led us into the adventure of homeschooling 23 years ago and, as a result, I've learned and am learning more than I could ever have imagined. Six years ago I began teaching at a hybrid classical/homeschool program in Barrington, Illinois. It is such a joy to be able to share the knowledge and skills that I've acquired while teaching my own kids to help teach the children of others. The adventure continues...

You are correct--we are a very flexible group and interruptions are absolutely fine. Mostly likely the discussion will be seeded periodically with a question from the leader (Katrina Combs) and everyone else is invited both to respond to the question or to say anything else they'd like to about the reading. Should be grand.

Thank you, Ty.  I'm looking forward to the reading of Plato this summer if that is what you all decide to read.  I will be teaching it again in the 2012-2013 school year, so I would appreciate being able to glean from others.  I clicked the "Comment Back" prompt and saw that you studied at NSA.  I have two sons studying there currently---a sophomore and a freshman.  They love it; we are so pleased for them to have the chance to live, learn, and worship in this community of believers.

I look forward to this summer's reading group.  I've never participated in a group like this, so not sure what to expect.  I assume there is no issue if there are sporadic interruptions in participation from summer vacation plans.  Is that correct?

Have a great week, Angel

Angel, welcome to the OneBook group! We're currently discussing the book Norms and Nobility over here. Also, we're in the process of picking a summer reading, which is likely to be Plato's Republic. However, we're happy to have you as a member and commentator even if you don't choose to read along for a particular book.
